Led by Fair Grounds Oaks (G2) winner Tarifa with 150 points, Kentucky-bred fillies make up 18 of the Top 20 points leaders for this year’s Kentucky Oaks (G1) to be run on Friday, May 3 at Churchill Downs.

Tarifa

Tarifa, a Godolphin homebred trained by Brad Cox, is undefeated this season at three. She won the Fair Grounds Oaks (G2) in her most recent outing and captured the Rachel Alexandra Stakes (G2) at Fair Grounds in her prior start. The daughter of Bernardini is out of the Awesome Again mare Kite Beach. Tarifa has won four of five lifetime starts and earned $518,925.

Where’s My Ring

Where’s My Ring is next with 125 points. Owned by Michael McMillan and trained by Val Brinkerhoff, Where’s My Ring is a daughter of Twirling Candy. Bred in Kentucky by Don Alberto Corporation, Where’s My Ring won the Gazelle Stakes (G3) at Aqueduct on April 6, and she finished second in the Santa Ysabel Stakes (G3) at Santa Anita in March. The bay filly was a $100,000 purchase by McMillan at the 2022 Keeneland September Yearling Sale.

Power Squeeze

Power Squeeze holds the third sport with 120 points. The Lea Farms colorbearer is perfect in three starts this season, all in stakes. She took down top prize in the Cash Run Stakes at Gulfstream Park to begin her sophomore season, and then rattled off victories in the Suncoast Stakes at Tampa Bay Downs and most recently she captured the Gulfstream Park Oaks (G2) at Gulfstream Park on March 30.

Trained by Jorge Delgado, Power Squeeze is a daughter of Union Rags out of the Awesome Again mare Callmethesqueeze. She was a $90,000 acquisition by Lea Farms at the 2022 OBS Spring Sale where she was consigned by Halcyon Hammock Farm.
